- !PotShot by Scott Reid.
-
- I must admit this is an adaptation of DeskDuck by Stuart Payne (hello Stu,
- waddaya think ?). It's easy to use, can be calming and relaxing, and can
- also be violent and sadistic. Hoorah you may say, the lord bringeth thou
- all-purpose desktop silly. Well, it goes like this :
-
- Upon loading PotShot, a little duckie appears at the bottom of the screen
- swimming around your icon bar and quacking merrily. Moving the mouse just
- above the top of the icon bar and pressing the select button will throw some
- bread for the duckie, and it will see it and swim quickly to get it as it's
- not had a good burger and chips for ages (ummm, me too !). Well, that's the
- peaceful side of PotShot, you can feed it chunks of bread all day until it
- explodes - there are easy ways of making the duck explode, have you ever
- tried lacing the bread with TNT for instance or ....... If you move the
- mouse near to it, your pointer turns into a set of cross-hairs. With these,
- carefully position the middle over the duckie, making sure not to miss as
- this could injure the duck and it'd have to spend hours of recovery in the
- Animal Hospital and would have to suffer Rolf Harris and swarms of TV camera
- crews. When on target, hit Adjust and kaboom, duckie is no more ! The duck
- is dead, long live the duck. Don't worry, your cross-hair pointer comes
- readily equipped with the breath of life, and duckie can be brought back to
- life by choosing "Come Alive" (strangely enough) from the menu.
-
- Well, that's about it. This was written instead of writing an Intel 960
- disassembler during my programming lab. at university.
